San Francisco
Are you looking for THAT place?
Apollo is a permanent home in San Francisco for education, incubation, research, design and capital under one roof. It is built for people who want to work alongside other disciplines.
What membership gives you
- A desk in the commons. Coworking in the building, next to the labs, the studios, and everyone else building here.
- Rooms for your own events. Members host in Apollo’s spaces: salons, workshops, demo nights, whatever you are convening. Two conditions: the event aligns with what Apollo is for, and the value it creates is shared back into the commons.
- Shared bounties. Paid, open problems posted by members, labs and partners. Take one, or post one.
- Skillshare. Members teach what they know, so you learn wet-lab technique or governance design from the person down the hall.
- Eight lab clusters under one roof. AI, bio and consciousness tech, human flourishing, climate, art and culture, civics, robotics, and moral inquiry, arranged so you keep colliding with other disciplines.
- Guests and room time. Two free guest day passes and three hours of conference-room time each month, plus the member rate on full-space bookouts.
- A voice in how it runs. Members who take on the unpaid work of keeping the place going earn standing in the decisions about it.
Why we built it
What do you want to have built in ten years? For most of us the answer is something too large to do alone.
A year of running this community taught us the same lesson over and over. The work that mattered came from people who would never otherwise have met, kept close enough and long enough to help each other. The building is what keeps them close.
We are stronger together.
That is why we say real estate is the infrastructure and community is the asset. A building is worth what it lets people do. The people are what compounds, so that is where we are spending: on gatherings, on stewardship, on the shared work that turns strangers into colleagues.
